James's obituary

James Carey Smith, 35, of San Augustine passed away on September 26, 2020 in Shreveport, LA. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
James was born on December 19, 1984. He was a former resident of Kerrville, Jasper, Woodville, Milam and Vidor. James never met a stranger, could talk to anyone and always knew how to make people around him laugh or smile even on the worst of days.
James is survived by his son, Remy Smith of Bronson, TX; mother, Emily Collier and husband Wayne Flanigan of Bronson, TX; father, Paul Smith and wife Phyllis of Mauriceville, TX; stepfather, Mac McBride and wife Cammie of Jasper, TX; brother, Kenneth Harrell and wife Melinda of Warren, TX; sisters, Heather Gallier and husband Troy of Vidor, TX, and Paula Clement and husband Ben of Groves, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
