James (Jim) Hustead Campen, age 73 of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 16th, 2021. James was born on May 29th, 1948, to the late Norwood Robinson Campen and Helen Allura Campen. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years Betty Jo Campen, just a few weeks prior to his death, and his sister Betty Lou Pittman 2010.
James was retired from the Air Force and went on to work with NCR for many years after leaving the armed services.

He and Betty were inseparable from the beginning. If they weren’t on the water, they were outside or spending time with their children and grandchildren. Family was everything to them both and life will never be the same with them both gone forever. They both are already missed so much by all who knew them.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren. Jamie (Darby) Campen, Amy (Jacob) DuPre and six grandchildren that they both loved dearly Allura, Ayden, Luke, Jack, Maggie, and Andy and many nieces and nephews who will always remember the very humble Uncle Jimmy! The only condolence for the immediate family is that they know he and his beloved wife are together again for eternity.
