James Michael “Mike” Boivin passed away on 05/14/2021 in Bakersfield, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter James Boivin, his mother Gladys Boivin-Hall, and his brother Lawrence Boivin. He is survived by one brother, and eight sisters. Mike was a highly successful water treatment specialist. He won many sales awards and his work was a source of pride. When we would drive by a winery or a refrigeration plant, he would proudly say he had sold water treatment chemicals to them. He graduated from Fresno State University, with a teaching credential in history. However, he soon found that teaching was not his forte, so he entered his new profession. He also took us to a baseball game or two, and was an avid Rams football fan. We have many fond memories, and he will be forever missed. He leaves two daughters, Nicole Boivin-Cabrera and Michelle Lyons, and son-in-law, Robert Lyons.
