Mike’s death has brought back so many memories: playing basketball, football and other sports as kids; staying at his apartment in Fresno before and after my CYO camp; going fishing on the Kaweah with Ted King and Larry; we went with Walter to an Angels game vs the A’s and were amazed when Reggie Jackson hit one completely out of the stadium; his beautiful wedding reception; nice home in the country when Michelle was little; he and the kids coming to the Bay Area for vacation to various spots; he also came up to many sports events at Stanford, San Jose State, Cal and A’s and Warriors games. Talking about history and other things. He will be sorely missed!

I love my big brother “Mikey”, as he called himself to me, very much. I’m so glad that I moved to Bakersfield because these last several years we’ve become quite close. I had the honor of holding his hand, talking to him and praying over him just hours before he went home to God. I have faith that I will see him again. Laurie Boivin- Canfield

My brother Mike was very instrumental in leading me to Jesus. He and his then wife and some friends of theirs prayed with me to accept the LORD as my Savior! He even bought me my 1st Bible, with my name engraved on it. I KNOW that I will see him again! We pray for Michelle and Nicole.

It was many years ago, but the memory of Mike with his girls, who were still very young, is a pleasant one. He also had a strong Christian faith which he freely shared with us. I believe Mike is looking down from Heaven with pride for his beloved daughters. Mike was a good man. Much love is sent your way.
