August 29th, 1957- January 26th, 2021
James Blanchard of Orovada, NV passed peacefully January 26th, 2021 at Renown Regional Medical Center after a short battle with cirrhosis.
James was born in Bakersfield, CA August 29th 1957, but grew up in Orovada NV. James graduated from McDermott High School. After high school James joined the Army and served for many years. After discharging from the military, James met the love of his life on the last train through Elko, NV. James married Karen Linville and had two daughters, building a life he loved in Elko working at Newmont Gold Mine.
James was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was known for his kind and giving nature, never having met a stranger.
James is survived by his father Delmar Blanchard of Orovada NV, sister Sherry Blanchard of Boise ID, Daughters Devan (Joseph) Overbay of Richmond KY, Jordan (Ryan) Evans of Gillette Wy and six grandchildren Dominick, Adrinna, Nathan, Chandler, Zoey, Harley.
James is proceeded in death by his Mother Freida Blanchard.
