Sad Post. 🙁
I tried so hard to make people aware of my friend's condition, and just how bad it was before he died. Constantly shaking. Constantly falling. And practically hallucinating on a daily basis. Here's an example:
ME: "I've always loved these pictures from the House of Blues gig. This shot of Toke enjoying the show (circa 2005) from the audience is priceless for the smile on his face!"
JIMMY: "We never played House of Blues."
ME: "Of course you did. See all these pics? We were all there that night."
JIMMY: "No, we never played there. Your pictures must be wrong. If we played there, I'd remember."
ME: "Isn't this you in this picture?"
JIMMY: "Obviously you are making a joke, Angelle."
ME: "Are you hungry for dinner yet? Let me get you some food."

Jimmy Black Memory
Published by Angelle Sheridan 12/30/2015
Hey, folks. Happy New Year! 🙂
A shout out to my long-time friends here who are also friends with our dearly beloved Jimmy Black. Stop by the house in Willoughby and see him if you can.
He hasn't been well this year at all, and is a real shut-in. So if you DO stop by, go to the back door. Knock. If no one answers, try the knob, and yell towards the upstairs of the house. DON'T BE SHY!!!! Get him and Steve (who is constantly in and out of the hospital) to visit with you for awhile. There may only be so many chances left.
If you're a really old, close friend, let yourself in. Post up on the couch after you hollar upstairs. But go see them. Whenever you can. I don't think Jimmy will ever play music on a stage again, and might not see 2017 at all. For real.
