I remember waking up to a phone call of Jim serenading Amy and me, he had sang to us in her voicemail, this was so precious, he has a wonderful voice and sang his spontaneously original song. A very loving, thoughtful man, who adored his family. ( He loved to be present with us on vacations, and often treated us to lunch, his way of being present.) I look back and he "always" made Amy and me smile and sometimes side hurdling laughter.
In closing, his obituary is lovely & I learned so much from reading this too. He was in my experience a very humble man, who had a beautiful wife, "Betty`, as the traditional saying: " Behind every successful man, is a strong woman;'" they both adored family and beamed with pride over each one of their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
May all of you be comforted as he truly was a man of God.
