James Richard Barwig, born March 10th, 1960, passed away on November 5th, 2023 in Hemet, CA. He is survived by two siblings, including John Barwig, elder brother, Juliana Barwig, younger sister and 1 niece and 4 nephews, Jenna, Kenneth,Tommy, Kyle and Jacob. He is also survived by his daughter, Alyssa Barwig Patane, and her husband Nation Patane.

Jim was a person who lived a life with many complexities and challenges. He was estranged from his family for many years, and this separation brought both sadness and sorrow to everyone involved. Despite the difficult circumstances, we remember him with the love that family bonds often bring.

Though he never took the opportunity to meet his four beautiful grandchildren, Blake 11, Brayden 7, Brooklyn 5 and Bailey 2. I know they would of adored him, as he would of adored them, such a great lost opportunity. He would of been so proud of his daughter, a dedicated and loving wife and mother.

Jim was known for being a prankster, his quick humor, and he found solace in his dog, Coujio, whom passed a week before his passing. He had a unique perspective on life, and those who knew him may remember the sparkle in his eyes.

He is loved and dearly missed by Lisa C Cook, He was the love of her life, as she was his. Although their life paths diverged, their bond remained strong.

So many bonds and love never given a chance.

His body has been donated to the UCSD Body program.

In this difficult time, we remember the happier moments shared with Jim, and we hope that he has found peace. We extend our condolences to all who were touched by his life and mourn his passing.
