James “Jamie” Anthony Cook, age 46, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He was born in Martinsville, Indiana on December 26, 1978 to Gary and Judy (Flake) Cook. He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1997 and joined the National Guard. He married Julie Melinda Prindle on January 28, 2006 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

James worked as an electrician for many years. In his free time, he greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to fish, golf, kayak, travel, and ride his motorcycle. He was also a fan of sudoku puzzles and online gaming.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Melinda Cook; daughter, Peyton Leigh Cook; son, Aiden James Cook; parents, Gary and Judy Cook; grandmother, Shirley Cook; brother, Jeremy Cook; cousins, Jessica Shanafelt and Josh Cook; aunts and uncles, Karen and Randy Shanafelt and David and Debbie Cook; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dean Cook and Maurice Flake Sr.; and grandmother, Betty Flake.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 3:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
