James's obituary
On May 12, James Basil Anagnost sailed peacefully into the sunset. He was born in Oct 1947 in Toledo, Ohio.
Jim was a kind person who loved to tell good jokes and laugh. He was persistent in overcoming the challenges that he faced in life and was able to use his strengths in positive ways. He loved being an uncle and making children laugh. He was a friend to all and treated everyone with respect. Jim was also a talented abstract artist and builder of mechanical prototypes that he created from his imagination. He loved taking pictures of mountains and sunsets and sailing on Lake Michigan where he found joy, peace, and escape from the burdens and oppression that he felt sometimes. There was more to him than most people understood. He was humble and had an understated dignity.
Please honor Jim’s memory by teaching your children and grandchildren to be kind and respectful to all people.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dr Basil and Juanita Anagnost. He is survived by his sisters Ann Anagnost (John Burge), Eloise Anagnost, and Christina Anagnost (Frank Voss) and niece Katherine Burge and nephew Michael Burge.
His family loves and misses him more than he could ever realize.
