James “Jim” Thompson was born in Gladewater, TX, October 8, 1960 to James E. Thompson and Peggy Dean. He passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Justin, TX. James married the love of his life, JoLynn, in 1980 and was a loving husband and proud father and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, JoLynn, three children, Brandon Thompson, Jesse Thompson and Amber Bennight, eight grandchildren, his parents and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jim was always responsible about his work, his animals, his life. He remained to the end loving his family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the Lord.

Jim’s passing has left an empty space in our lives that can only be filled with all of the greatest of happy memories and love of him and his life with us.

A private family memorial will take place later.
