Michael's obituary

James Michael Alfano Jr., born November 29, 1979, in Houston, Texas, passed away on November 16, 2025, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, at the age of 45.

Michael was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and a father whose life held both light and struggle. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joann Marie Moore, and is survived by his father, James Michael Alfano Sr., and his two daughters, Mia and Gabby, who were the brightest parts of his world. He is also survived by a brother and several sisters.

Michael will be remembered for the pieces of himself he shared freely—his humor, his love of music, his ability to make others laugh, and the childhood memories his family will forever hold close. Though his path wasn’t always easy, he leaves behind moments of joy, connection, and love that will continue to live on through those who knew him.

His family will remember him with compassion, holding onto the lighter moments they shared and taking comfort in knowing his long struggle is over and that he is at peace.
