It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Affie, who left this world on February 21, 2026. Born on July 30, 1943, James walked the journey of life for 82 fruitful years, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and warm memories. He served his country proudly in the US Army. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Evelyn Affie, son, Christopher Affie, daughter Kimberly Izzo , stepson Brian Farrell, stepdaughter Debra Barner, his grandchildren, Donald, Marissa, Nicholas, Alyssia, Christian, Spencer, Ally and Jake, his great grandchildren, Luca and Michael.  He was predeceased by step sons Larry and Scott Farrell and grandson Michael Pergolatti. 

James' loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him. His spirit will continue to shine in our hearts and his memories will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives.

A Celebration of Life for James will be held on May 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM at 204 Peck LN in Cheshire, CT. We invite all who knew James to join us as we pay our last respects, share our memories, and commemorate the life of an amazing man who touched so many lives in his time with us. Your presence will offer comfort as we navigate through this difficult time of loss. There will be food, laughs, conversation, Atari and Jarts.
