Shad's obituary

Jamario Rashad Cox

May 10, 1979 - July 27, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jamario Rashad Cox, who left us on July 27, 2024, in Waverly, TN. Rashad, born on May 10, 1979, in Cleveland, MS, was the beloved first child of Vincent Richards and Denise Cox.

Rashad was known for his gentle and kind spirit, a true embodiment of compassion and hard work. Whether volunteering his time or simply being present for family and friends, he brought joy, laughter, and lasting memories to all who knew him. His presence was a blessing, and he had a unique way of making every moment special.

A faithful believer, Rashad was baptized at New Jerusalem Church in Cleveland at a young age and accepted Christ as his personal savior.

Rashad's legacy will live on through his cherished family. He is survived by his daughter, LaStacey Pleasant, and his three sons, Bryan, Bryson, and Brylen Cox, all of Walls, MS. He leaves behind the mother of his children, Stacey Seaton-Cox; his mother, Denise Cox of Memphis, TN; and his devoted sister, Shawana Cox of Southaven, MS. Rashad will also be deeply missed by his numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will hold on to the precious memories shared with Rashad, remembering him for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Though his physical presence will be missed, his memory will remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A homegoing service to honor Rashad's life will be held at 11:00 AM on August 10, 2024 at United Baptist Church in Cleveland, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an Educational Support Fund for his children.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
