We are sad to announce the passing of Jairo Enrique Ariza Martinez of Miami, FL at age 66 on September 30th, 2023.

Born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, Jairo spent the first 2 decades of his life. Here, he met his wife Maria Atencia having their first daughter Ana Maria together. Later, Jairo emigrated to the United States joining his mother in New York and pursued and obtain his degree in Hospitality. He was then able to bring his family to the United States and after beginning a new life in Miami, FL welcomed his 2 younger children: Jairo and Cindy. In their new home, Jairo continued building his career in his chosen field of hospitality as a dedicated manager at various restaurant establishments. His dedication to his profession was noted by all who worked alongside him, and his continued mentorship of those around him. As a devoted father, he made time to support his children's activities as often as possible. His passing will leave a permanent void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maria; his children, Cindy and Jairo Jr.; his grandchildren, Kassandra, Abigail, and Maximus; his sisters, Marlene, and Nancy; his brothers, Jaime, Alberto, Ivan, and Juan Carlos; in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held in his honor at 6 PM on October 6th at Memorial Plan Westchester in Miami, FL.

Nos entristece anunciar el fallecimiento de Jairo Enrique Ariza Martínez de Miami, FL a los 66 años el 30 de septiembre de 2023.

Nacido y criado en Barranquilla, Colombia, Jairo pasó las primeras dos décadas de su vida. Aquí conoció a su esposa María Atencia y tuvieron juntos su primera hija, Ana María. Posteriormente, Jairo emigró a Estados Unidos reuniéndose con su madre en Nueva York y cursó y obtuvo su título en Hotelería. Luego pudo traer a su familia a los Estados Unidos y luego de comenzar una nueva vida en Miami, FL le dio la bienvenida a sus 2 hijos menores: Jairo y Cindy. En su nuevo hogar, Jairo continuó construyendo su carrera en el campo elegido de la hotelería como gerente dedicado en varios establecimientos de restauración. Todos los que trabajaron junto a él notaron su dedicación a su profesión y su continua tutoría de quienes lo rodeaban. Como padre devoto, se tomó el tiempo para apoyar las actividades de sus hijos con la mayor frecuencia posible. Su fallecimiento dejará un vacío permanente en los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron y amaron.

Entre los que quedan para apreciar su memoria se encuentran su esposa, María; sus hijos, Cindy y Jairo Jr.; sus nietos, Kassandra, Abigail y Maximus; sus hermanas, Marlene y Nancy; sus hermanos Jaime, Alberto, Iván y Juan Carlos; además de muchas tías, tíos, primos y muchos amigos.

Se llevará a cabo un funeral en su honor a las 6 p. m. el 6 de octubre en Memorial Plan Westchester en Miami, FL
