Jacquelyn Valcourt Taylor, 75, of Garden City, SC, passed away on December 28, 2022 after an illness.
Jacquelyn was born on August 22, 1947 to Alexander and Carroll Sibbald in Providence, RI. Growing up in Warwick, RI, she graduated from Pilgrim High School in 1965. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart Donald Valcourt, and created a family with her daughter Kerrin, and her son Christopher. She raised her family in South Kingstown, RI. She worked many years in the jewelry industry with her husband, together they founded D&B Mfg. Company as well as Jacqui Accessories. Jacquelyn was a passionate golfer and lover of travel, she had the pleasure of seeing the world with her husband and friends. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found at her local golf course or favorite restaurant "Casa Rossi". She later retired and moved to South Carolina to spend time with family and friends. She was involved at the local Elks Club where she worked with the veterans committee , and volunteered her time with other charities. She dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a loyal friend to many with relationships going back 60 years. She had an infectious smile, enjoyed a good laugh, and LOVED to dance to great music. Simply, she loved life! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jacquelyn was predeceased by her father Alexander and her mother Carroll Sibbald. She is survived by her daughter Kerrin Swann of Garden City, SC, her son Christopher Valcourt his wife Tara of Murrells Inlet, SC and her grandchildren, Brandon Reilly, his wife Alexa, Jordan Reilly, Alexandra Valcourt, and Michael Swann. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to [location]. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Fernwood Cemetery in West Kingston, RI.
