South Yarmouth- Jacquelyn Lee Flynn, “Jacki Lee”, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, following a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her daughters, Courtney (Flynn) Danis of West Warick, and Kara Bassett of Bozeman Montana; her mother Jacqueline A Flynn of Yarmouth; her sister Beth Ann Flynn of Boston; her sons-in-law, Ryan Danis and Roman Fiol; her grandchildren, Harper and Grant; her long-time boyfriend Gene Williams; her beloved dog Charlie; and many other friends and long-distance relatives.

Jacki was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and raised on the Cape by her parents Thomas and Jacqueline Flynn. She attended D-Y High School where she was an all-around star athlete. Her favorite sports were field hockey and softball. After high school, she attended Bridgewater State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminology. After graduating she started working at the Dennis Police Station where she served for 7 years.

She is remembered as a funny, loving, and whimsical character who always put others before herself. She never took “no” for an answer, and couldn’t bear hearing the phrase “I can’t”. Jacki loved watching reality TV shows and discussing all the drama on the phone with her friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A private celebration of life will be held. In memory of Jacki’s life please consider making a donation to the D-Y field hockey team. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for their care and dedication over the years.
