Jacquelyn's obituary
Jacquelyn Mary Dodge, 79, of Pingree Grove, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
She was born on March 9, 1945, in Oak Park, Illinois, to John and Evelyn (McCarthy) Boesen. A lifelong resident of Illinois, Jacquelyn moved to Pingree Grove from Elk Grove in 2011.
Jacquelyn was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dog lover. She brought warmth and kindness to those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, Wolfgang Dodge, Sandra Schneidwind, and Noelle Dodge; her brother, Richard (Nancy) Boesen; seven grandchildren, Jessalyn (Roger) Tucker, John Schneidwind, Kate (Arthur) Grubba, Alexandra VanBork, Sebastian VanBork, Tom Dreisbach, Isabella Dodge, and Delphine Dodge; and four great-grandchildren, Grayson Grubba, Aaron Grubba, Gianella Tucker, and Annie Dreisbach. She is also remembered by her nieces and nephews, Jake Boesen, Sarah Boesen, and Matthew Boesen; her godchildren Danielle Vavra and Sarah Vavra; and her beloved dog, Quincy.
In addition to her parents, Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her brother, John Boesen, as well as three cherished dogs—Lucy, Lily, and Dolly—who surely welcomed her at the Rainbow Bridge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. A graveside service will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Galena, Illinois.
