Jacqueline's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jacqueline (Jackie) Peters (age 85) of Washington Township, on August 3, 2025. Jackie could always be found with a book in her lap while planning her next travel adventure with her lifelong friends. She will be deeply missed for her welcoming smile, sense of humor, and loving nature. She is survived by her husband Fred, children Steve and Ann and four grandchildren, Brooke, Autumn, Jacob and Sophie. She was an avid crafter that turned her hobby into a family business that shared the love of ceramics. She also honed her talents with baking, quilting, and porcelain dolls.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 19 (visitation 10:30 a.m./service 11:30 a.m./luncheon Noon) at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1800 W Maple Rd, Birmingham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

To celebrate Jackie's passions at her service, if you share her love of reading, please bring a book you’ve read to share forward and take a book from those collected. We also encourage attendees to dress in bright colors to match Jackie's cheery personality.  Bring with you a cherished story or memory, those wishing to share will be invited to do so during the service.
