Jacqueline's obituary
Jacqueline Clare Gokey (Seabrook), 64, of Alpharetta, GA passed away on January 9, 2025, in Alpharetta. She was born on October 30, 1960, in Bishopstone, UK (near Swindon) to Major Trevor and Mrs. Patricia Seabrook. Jackie was both an adventurer and an explorer. She moved frequently with her parents to the Middle East, Cyprus, around UK, and attended private boarding school in Ashford, Kent, UK. She worked in Vancouver, Canada as a nanny, then in Cheltenham, UK, Wales, as a trainee for Sainsbury’s, then London as an administrative assistant for multiple companies. After marrying Bob, she acquired her AA degree and worked for senior leaders at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Wallingford, CT. While living in Sanford, FL she completed her BA Degree in teaching, graduating with a rare 4.0 GPA from UCF in Orlando. She taught school and focused on her children, Greg and Ashton, in the multiple moves from CT to FL to MA to GA over the years. She loved her friends and family, maintaining those relationships throughout life as it took her to many places and new horizons. In her later years she loved hiking, kayaking, decorating, and creating glass artwork. Her ideas and creations will live on as a tribute to her talents.
Jacqueline is survived by her son Gregory Gokey, wife Caroline, and granddaughter Capri, her daughter Ashton (Gokey) Morris, son-in-law Kyle, grandson James, and granddaughter Bella, and former husband Bob; her father Major Trevor E. Seabrook, brother Howard, sister-in-law Claire and nephew Guy Seabrook, all of Cheltenham, UK, her first cousins Gavin Jones and Rowena Jones, also from UK. Jackie is predeceased by her mother Patricia Seabrook who passed early in 2024. We know that Jackie is living in the hearts of her loved ones, including lifelong friends, work colleagues, and gracious souls from long ago up to the time of her passing. Don't think of her as gone, because her journey has just begun. God took her by the hand, and showed her the way home. For nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much.
