Jacqueline's obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Elizabeth Dyll, a woman of immense warmth, compassion, and talent, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on March 4, 1946, Jackie filled her life with love, service, and beauty, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Jackie shared a beautiful and enduring marriage with her beloved husband, George Dyll. Together, they built a life rich in love and partnership. She was a devoted and loving mother to her two sons, Thomas George Dyll and Michael James Dyll, instilling in them values of kindness and strength.

Known for her incredibly big heart, Jackie dedicated a significant part of her life to serving as a guardian ad litem. In this role, she was a fierce advocate for those in need, offering a voice and unwavering support to vulnerable individuals within the community. Her compassionate nature touched countless lives.

Beyond her service to others, Jackie possessed a remarkable green thumb and was an incredible orchid grower and caretaker. Her home was often filled with the colors and beauty of her orchids, a testament to her patience and nurturing spirit. Jackie's talents extended to the kitchen, where she was an amazing cook, delighting friends and family with her home cooked food. She also had a creative spirit and was a talented painter, expressing herself through art.

Jackie’s vibrant personality, her kindness, and her many talents will be deeply missed by her cherished friends and beloved family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to others.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at Plymouth Place, 315 N. La Grange Rd., La Grange Park, IL 60526, on May 24, 2025, at 11 AM. All friends and family are welcome to attend and honor her memory. Jackie’s ashes will be laid to rest with her husband, George Dyll, by her sons at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers GA at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Plymouth Place Employee Scholarship Fund, a cause close to Jackie's heart, supporting those who provide care and assistance to others.
