Jackie's obituary

In loving memory of our Mother and Mema, Jacqueline "Jackie" Averitt, who passed away on May 10, 2022. She was the devoted wife of David Averitt (Deceased) and loving mother of Tammy Miles, David Averitt, Timothy Averitt, James Averitt and Joseph Averitt. She also has 9 grandchildren and 9 great children that all know her as Mema. They were the pride of her life. She was a kind spirit that would adopt anyone into our house, that needed motherly love and home cooked meals that she was known to give to anyone that needed it. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman and a fighter who faced every challenge and illness in her life with courage, strength and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration and love to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Growing up, momma  was always there for us, whether we needed a babysitter, a little bit of help or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman of strong faith and she instilled in us the importance of family values, hard work and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mother, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
