Jacklin's obituary
Jacklin Elizabeth Beckley (Smith)
Jacklin Elizabeth Beckley (Smith), 77, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s house under the care of Munson Healthcare Hospice. A special thank you to the Munson Healthcare Hospice team for giving Jacklin an extra year and a half to spend quality time with her family and friends.
Jacklin started out as a trailblazer early on. Graduating from Cass Technical High School at age 16 and then working hard to accomplish so many career milestones over the years as a salesperson/manager. Beginning with her first sales position at Legg’s pantyhose and eventually holding sales positions at Coca Cola, Wrigley Candy and S. Abraham & Sons where she retired.
One of her greatest joys was watching her Grandkids Matthew and Chloe turn into young adults. She shared her love of travel with them and was always thrilled to spend time with them and hear about their travels and studies abroad.
She will be missed for her quick wit, great sense of humor and always helpful advice. She made an impact in each life she touched and is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Palmer and her grandchildren, Matthew and Chloe Palmer. Her brother; Robert Gregory Smith, Sister; Mary (Dave) Erickson. Her nephew Christopher Erickson, and nieces Kimberly (Chris) Brush and Melinda Mack. She is preceded in death by her parents Frances & Olive Smith, siblings Bradford Smith and Gary Smith.
A memorial service will take place at a later date to celebrate her life. If you would like to make a donation in Jackie’s honor, the family asks that a donation be made to Munson Healthcare Hospice and you can donate on line at www.munsonhealthcare.org/supp…
