Jackie Savoie, a cherished wife, devoted daughter, dear sister, true friend, and extraordinary mother, passed away on October 23, 2023 from metastatic breast cancer. She was born on March 25, 1988, and passed away at the young age of 35.

Jackie’s life began in her hometown of Alvin, TX. Born to Bonnie and Dean Thibodaux, she joined a large, close-knit family. Jackie’s childhood friendships would prove to be lifelong commitments. In high school, her natural talents, both in sports and academics, earned her numerous awards and recognition. She was a varsity letterman in swimming, water polo and track, and she continues to hold swimming records at Alvin High School to this day. It was also in high school that Jackie would meet the man she would later call her husband, Joe Savoie.

After graduation, Jackie ventured to College Station to pursue her education at Texas A&M University. It was here that she first discovered a passion for nature and her love for dobermans. She was a devoted traveler and supporter of The Houston Area Doberman Rescue and The Doberman Rescue of North Texas.

Following her college years, life would bring Jackie back to the Houston area, where she would reconnect with Joe. In 2018, they married in a picturesque ceremony in the Texas Hill Country and began building a beautiful life together in The Woodlands, TX. 

They became proud parents in 2019, when Emerson was born. In 2020, they welcomed their second child, Parker. The role of a mother was the highlight of Jackie's life and her children were the center of her world. She embraced motherhood with unmatched dedication, nurturing Emerson and Parker with immeasurable love, care, and wisdom.

In 2021, days after closing on her dream home, Jackie was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Jackie’s positivity and indomitable spirit allowed her to overcome tremendous challenges, including chemotherapy, surgeries, radiation, and numerous lines of treatment. Her unwavering love for her family motivated her to create beautiful memories and cherish every moment. She embraced life fully, understanding the value of living each day, and she did so with grace and resilience.

Jackie always maintained that her children’s education was of utmost importance, even in her passing. Her primary concern was ensuring their college education and future success. Jackie's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of resilience, love, and devotion will continue to inspire us all. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Jace and Chuck Benefield, her maternal grandparents, William and Evelyn Ulrich, and her paternal grandparents, Guy and Mary Jo Thibodaux.

A memorial and celebration of Jackie's life will be held at The Peach Orchard in The Woodlands, TX on November 22, 2023. All who wish to honor and celebrate Jackie's impactful and well-lived life are invited to attend.
