Jackie's obituary

Obituary for Jacqueline M Nelson (Valentine)

I was born on March 14, 1965 to Robert and Bonnie Valentine in Winona, MN, the 5th of 7 children. On March 1st 2025, I was lovingly surrounded by my beautiful family and friends, as I left this earth and went to my heavenly home. For that, I truly thank you.

On October 5, 1985, I married Tim Nelson my high school sweetheart. That union allowed me to become a mom of two beautiful girls and eventually, Mimi. These were also some of the best events in my life. When one is given the opportunity to create life and watch that life grow and become wonderful people, there are no words to describe it. Carissa-I am so proud of you and Jay. You are wonderful parents to Winston, Wesley and Wrenlee; my beautiful grandchildren. Watching how you parent your children gives me such joy and assurance, I will see all of you again someday in heaven. Alanah- watching you grow into the person you are, gives me great joy. You have overcome so much in your life with perseverance and resolve. You too, will join me in heaven someday, which also gives me much joy.

I want to thank all of those who helped me and supported me in my lifetime. I was blessed beyond measure, as I reflect on my life. I had a great career, good education, traveled to many of God's beautiful created destinations and enjoyed gardening/canning and anything nature. I am sure many of you saw my sunset posts. I do hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. I also loved music-especially worship music and entertaining. Maybe you even enjoyed a home cooked meal with some sort of desert I would have enjoyed making.

I want to share my biggest accomplishment in life was accepting Jesus as my savior and making him my Lord at the young age of 12. There is no greater joy than knowing Jesus and having the peace only He can give that I will live on forever in eternity with Him.

To all of my family and friends who live on, I will pray for you in my new eternal home. Think of me when you walk in nature, see a sunrise or sunset, smell the flowers, hear the birds, etc. I will look forward to seeing you again someday.

I hope you can join my family on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at The Old Ptaceks Event Center, 1449 Orrin Rd Prescott, WI at 11 am for my home going celebration. Immediately after the celebration, stay and enjoy lunch and visit with my family.

My request for those who wish to honor me, is that you seek the Lord. I would love to see everyone reading this obituary in heaven. You will find this hope in Romans 10 in the Bible. I encourage you to say the prayer and make Jesus Lord of your life and meet me in heaven someday. You won't regret it. Until then, my love to all.

Jackie
