Dee Ann's obituary

Dee Ann Hill-Rogers of Spokane WA, passed away peacefully in her home, March 7, 2024.

Dee Ann is survived by her loving partner of 8 years Fred Sinn, beloved children, son Steven Rogers and daughter Jennifer Rehm, 6 grandchildren, mother Jody Hill, sister Kim Kidder, and brother David Hill and step-mother Paulette Hill and step-sisters Kimberly Tucksen, Karin Gilmore, Meagan Campbell, Jennifer Bateman and Jessica Ober.  She was proceeded in death by her sister Robin Myers and father Jack Hill.

Dee Ann was born June 17, 1970 in Yokosuka, Japan and raised in Southern California. As a child Dee Ann took tap dance lessons and continued her love for movement and dance throughout adulthood with a move for every type of music and beat. In her late teens Dee Ann moved to Spokane where she graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.

Dee Ann had a deep love for serving the sick and wounded. Her interest in medicine began when Dee Ann, pregnant with her first child Steven, escaped death in an auto accident that took the life of her first husband Alan Rogers. Following Alan’s passing and her recovery, Dee Ann, now a single mother, put herself through nursing school and began her long career as a skilled trauma nurse working in Spokane hospitals. Dee Ann achieved a Bachelors in Science and Masters in Nursing and was just one course away from a PhD.

Dee Ann showered those around her with love, spontaneity, adventure, energy and laughter. She was creative with a keen interest in crafts from basket weaving to scrapbooking to Cricut. Dee Ann also loved taking cruises, camping, the outdoors and travel. Dee Ann’s favorite places were Maui and Lahina, Hawaii. She loved sea turtles, swimming the waters of Maui and being in the sand.

Dee Ann was incredibly proud of her children Jennifer and Steven and a doting grandma. Her kindness, compassion, generosity and vivacious personality will be deeply missed.
