Jackie's obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jackie "Jax" Gold, a deeply loved woman who enriched the lives of everyone she met. Jackie, who was also known as Jax, Snackmaster, and friend, was born on April 26, 1962, and left us too soon on July 29, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Jackie leaves an enduring legacy through her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Gold, and her proud daughters, Jessica and Hannah Gold as well as her cherished sisters and brother-in laws: Kathleen and Jay Thresher and Susan and Dan Stabo.

Jackie's generosity and positive energy were evident in everything she did. She was an active bee, with a full social calendar involving her Jackson 5 group from grade school, Ladies of the 80's card club (of which she was Commissioner) from high school, her Y-Not crew, the hockey mom's from Winter Club, her Mahjong Ladies, RISE volunteer group, Bowling League, MYC folks and life-long friends from the girls' growing up. Everyone became Jackie's friend and family, including the regular workers around the house (the Fish Guy, the lawn guys, the bee guy, the flower guy, the car guy, the handy man, the chocolate lady and the contractors).

Some may find it hard to believe but back in the day Jackie was one heck of a ball player. She continued to be a staunch Brewer's fan and also enjoyed yelling during Packer's games.

It was her incredible spirit that truly set her apart though. Jackie was best described by those who knew her as generous, positive, and fun. She was a beacon of kindness who always had a smile to share and could be counted on to throw one hell of a party. Her cooking and baking were well renowned and will be sorely missed.

One of the most valuable lessons she imparted was, "If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours." With these simple words, Jackie encapsulated her philosophy of love, compassion, and joy. Her legacy is one of strong daughters, cherished friends, and a community that benefited greatly from her kindness and generosity.

Jackie's impact will not only be measured in words or deeds, but rather in the love, laughter, and happiness she spread. Her memory will be carried in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Please join us at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W Mequon Rd, Mequon, wearing bright colors to reflect Jackie’s bright demeanor and positive attitude for her funeral on Friday, August 2nd. Visitation from 10 am-noon, Service at noon, with a Luncheon to follow at the same location.

If you are unable to attend in person, you may watch it live here: https://rb.gy/let5vi (Passcode: Jax)

We will have an open microphone at the Luncheon if you would like to share a story or words. You may also share a message for the family or memories and stories on this site.

We will be receiving anyone wishing to pay their respects and to celebrate Jackie’s life at our home for a mini shiva. Please feel free to stop in and stay however long you wish. There will be plenty of food and drinks, per a usual Gold Gathering. Reach out for dates and details.

Thank you all for being a part of Jackie’s life. Don’t be a stranger to us moving forward.

The Golds

XO
