Jackie Ansumana, 74, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on September 03, 2022.

She was a loving mother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend. Jackie Bindu Ansumana went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2021. She was born on April 5, 1948 to Jacob and Messita Ansumana in Bolahun, Lofa County, Liberia. She attended Bolahun Episcopal Mission Schools: St. Agnes Episcopal Elementary School, St. Cyprian Junior High School, St Augustine Senior High School, and Cuttington University College.

Jackie worked as a nurse for many years in her homeland and continued to work in the healthcare field when her family migrated to the United States. She was a loving and caring soul who dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was an entrepreneur and was willing to support and protect the ones she loved. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, she was like a mother to all who met her. She loved to cook and feed the ones she loved. She was a member of many organizations including Bolahun World Wide Inc., Children of Zion Ministry, Lofa County Association of Ohio, Northeast Ohio Voter Advocates, Shepherd Ministry of Minnesota, Praise House Prophetic Ministry and Victory International Prayer Line, and Cuttington Alumni Association in Suacoco, Bong County, Liberia; where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jacob; mother, Messita Ansumana; brothers, Fudoi Ansumana, Jessah Ansumana, Matthew Ansumana and Sopay Ansumana.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Adam Ansumana; three daughters, Rutah Ansumana, Keltey Lanson, and Angeline Ansumana-Smith; seven grandchildren, Jasmine Cooper, Margee Cooper, Paul Smith, Patrick Smith, Jonston Gray, Kelsey Gray, Brittany Williams; siblings,  Jeniffer Ansumana,  Joseph Ansumana, Mohammed Karmo Ansumana, Marion Ansumana, Sata Ansumana, John Ansumana and Moses Ansumana; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
