Jack's obituary

In loving memory of Jackie Lee Ainsworth, 82, of Holtville, CA, who went home to be with the Lord on May 03, 2024. He was the devoted father of Monica, Jill, Marci, and Lesley. Jack’s beloved wife, Sharon, was undoubtedly waiting on the other side with open arms.

Jackie was born on January 26, 1942 in Calexico, CA and graduated from Calexico High School in 1960. Not long after, he met the love of his life, Sharon, and they married on September 28, 1962. Jack was employed at Grizzle Farms for over 35 years. He was a member of Holtville Rotary for many years and enjoyed supporting his daughters and grandchildren with their 4-H and FFA projects. A devoted family man, he worked tirelessly for his loved ones, ingraining a strong work ethic in everyone around him.

Jack enjoyed summer vacations with his family which included camping trips to the White Mountains, Colorado, San Quintin, Lake Powell, and Rock Creek. He found happiness in simple pleasures; whether it be fishing, going to the movies, playing poker, or trips to Laughlin. Upon retirement, Jack enjoyed outings with their “Desert Diner” group and spending summers on the Oregon Coast with family, dear friends, and  dog, Baylee Bell.

Jack is predeceased by his wife, Sharon Ainsworth and brother, Kenneth Ainsworth. He leaves behind his daughters, Monica Masserini (Johvannie), Jill Renzi, Marci Mange (Andy), Lesley Silva (Johnny), sister, Linda Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was also known as “Papa” to his grandchildren, Johvannie Masserini, Mason Mange (Kacie), Sydney Mange, Demi Mange, Katelyn Renzi, Carson Renzi, Kylee Silva, Jackson Silva and great-grandson, Jaxon Mange.

Celebration of Life will be held at Cornerstone Community Church in Holtville on May 18, 2024 at 10:30 am.  Luncheon to follow.
