Jack Revena Johnson of Irving, Texas passed away in his home on March 30, 2024, at 92 years old. He was born on September 8th, 1931 in Birthright, Texas to Claude R and Rosa Lee Johnson.
He joined the Army at 16 years old to escape the cotton fields, and served in the Korean War where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He retired from the Army in 1968, then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone until retirement. He was a quiet man who was deeply loved by family, friends, and neighbors. He said he would make it to 92, the age at which both his parents passed. He was a man of his word.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene Asta Johnson (8-25-2022), his son Michael Revena Johnson (5-12-2011) his siblings Oliver L Johnson and Mary Lou Stephens. He will be deeply mourned by his surviving children and their families Liane and Ron Chance, Diana and Richard Perkins. His grandchildren are Sonja Jones, Angelic Sikes, and Savannah Perkins. His surviving siblings are Bill Johnson and Ellis Johnson.
