Jack's obituary
Jack Chris Taylor Fultz Myers
September 24, 1996 – April 10, 2026
Jack Chris Taylor Fultz Myers was a wonderfully quirky young man with an artist’s heart and an endlessly inquisitive mind. He was intelligent, creative, and always exploring—whether it was a new skill, a new job, or a new way of understanding the world around him. Even while living with mental illness, Jack never stopped trying. He kept learning, kept creating, and kept showing up for the people he loved.
Jack grew up in the Portland area and spent most of his life in Tualatin. He graduated from Tualatin High School and chose to stay close to family afterward. He worked hard whenever he was able—at one point carrying two jobs during COVID, when many others were struggling to find work. His dedication, even in difficult times, was one of the many ways he showed his strength.
He cared deeply about music, art, and the powerful connection between creativity and the mind. Those who knew him will remember his contagious laugh, his unique way of seeing the world, and the light he brought into the lives of others. Jack tried every day to be the best person he could be, and his perseverance in the face of hardship was one of his most defining qualities.
Jack is survived by his father, Jack Myers, his step‑mother, Nicole Myers, his brother Dax Myers, his sister and Zoe Koch. He was especially close to his grandmother, Lydia, and his mom Andria, whose love and support meant the world to him. Jack had no children, but he leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and a community forever changed by his presence.
His light will be profoundly missed. May he be remembered most for his courage, his creativity, and his willingness to keep trying to live well, no matter how hard it became.
