Jack's obituary
Jack Allen Layman passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on November 10, 1948, Jack lived a life marked by enduring connections and a quiet passion for animals.
Jack was the beloved spouse of Fern Layman, who shared many years of companionship and support. He was a sibling to Reed Layman, Helen "Dolly" Zeller, and Nancy Cleary. Jack also embraced the role of step-parent to Kimberly Latteri (Chris) and Cynthia Browning (Mark Hundzinski), extending their circle of care and affection. Their family legacy continues through four grandchildren, Kenneth Romero, Andrew Romero, Allison Ramirez, Tomas Ramirez and one great-granddaughter, Rozalea White, each carrying forward memories of Jack’s presence in their lives.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Clara Layman; brother, William Layman; and sister, W. Eileen Damon. Their passing reunites them with loved ones who went before.
Throughout their life, Jack found joy in the companionship of dogs, a passion that brought comfort and happiness over the years. Those who knew Jack will remember the warmth they shared with both people and animals alike.
A private service will be held at a later date.
