Jack's obituary

Jack Stewart Gillpatrick has touched the lives of all who’ve had the pleasure of spending time with him in

a special way. His trucker friends fondly referred to him as Gunnysack Jack.

Jack was born May 15, 1934 in Stafford, Kansas. He graduated from Pampa Texas High School in 1954.

As a young man, he worked in the oilfield, went into the Army, then became a farmer. In 1971 he and his family moved to Oklahoma and Jack soon began working for Farmland Industries.

Jack married the love of his life in 1981. Jack and Lou enjoyed a fun-loving and Christ-centered life together for nearly 44 years. He was soon relocated by Farmland from Enid to Yukon, Oklahoma where he continued working until retirement in 1996.

Jack had a vibrant passion for life. He never met a stranger. Jack enjoyed years of volunteer work alongside his wife, Lou with the Red Cross, and later by traveling to volunteer his support with the Baptist Men’s Disaster Relief. Helping others was a call that he truly loved to answer. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the OSU Cowboys. He loved spending time outdoors, gardening, tinkering on projects, and most of all; spending time to visit with dear friends and family; giving fun nicknames to each. He will be remembered for his incredibly loving heart, his silly humor and that sweet ornery smile.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Lou Gillpatrick, his daughter, Donna Gillpatrick, son, Jay Gillpatrick and Shauna, stepson Rick Morse & Evelyn, stepson Russ Morse & Angie. Grandchildren; Misty Wiese, Marci Dickson, Jacqueline Lippert & Colton, Megan Day and Steve, Blake Gillpatrick & Whitney, Jason Gillpatrick and Ali, Brandi Fleer, Randy West, and Eli Morse. Great-grandchildren; Alexis & Ashton Wiese, Micah & Brock Dickson, Henry Lippert, Cadence Day, Braxton, Graham & Nox Gillpatrick, Addison Gillpatrick, Trinity Fadorsen & Connor, Cadence Grace & Maci Fleer. Great-great-grandchildren; Liam, Elias, & Ava Fadorsen.

Jack was preceded in passing by his father and mother, Herb & Grace Gillpatrick, his sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne Schrimshire & Harold, his daughter, Denise Gillpatrick, and great-granddaughter, Amaya Grace Dickson.

Psalms 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me

beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s

sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
