Jackie "Jack" Edward DeGon born 11/20/1933 entered his loving wife, JoAnne's, arms in heaven on 3/7/2024. They spent most of their lives in the Spokane area. Upon retirement the desert called them so they moved to Yuma Arizona. He recently returned to Spokane. Together, with faith and love, they raised 5 daughters, Melinda Spolski (Jay), Bonnie Lorenzi (Marlin), Janet Lillie (Alan), Karen Bockstruck (Tracy), and Vicky Millspaugh (Larry). He was a proud member of Iron Workers Local 14 in Spokane for 71 years, having spent his career working for Dix Steel. He excelled in his vocation and became a well respected foreman in his 20's. During retirement he perfected the craft of wood work, ultimately, making fine furniture. Jack was a man who loved unconditionally, laughed easily, prayed fervently, lead by example, and so much more. In addition, he leaves 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a huge extended family and friends, all of which will miss him, "until we meet again". Graveside services will be Sunday June 2, 2024 at the Spangle WA cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Spangle Service Club, 165 N Main St., Spangle, WA, 99031. In leu of flowers, a donation to the Shriners Club, in his name, would be appreciated.
