Jay was a very good fraternity, brother and friend. I always remember the one time after an evening of adult beverages. He came back to the apartment in Southgate and I introduced him to my sure cure all for alcohol. I made him some grits with butter, salt and pepper, and he was totally amazed as one of the funny stories and memories that I have of him he’s a great guy and I really feel bad for the family and send my condolences

I would love to be there in his memory, but I am currently hiking the Appalachian Trail and will not be able to attend.

Jay was intelligent, kind and caring. I was fortunate to meet him in 1979 which led to a long friendship.  I will miss his smile and wit. Rest in Peace my friend.
