On Saturday, June 6th, 2020, Jack R. Abrohms, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 69 at his home in Berkley, CA.

Jack was born on September 24th, 1950, to Frank and Ruth “Cissie” (Silver) Abrohms. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design from the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Sciences in 1972. Jack made his career predominantly in sales, and ultimately returned to design working as a Landscape Designer in San Francisco, CA. He was married in 1975 to Alison Abrohms with whom he raised two daughters, Megan and Alyssa. After moving to California, Jack met Jan Soley Abrohms and they were married in 2003.

Jack had a passion for weaving and design. He was a serial entrepreneur and artist, and owned Weave One which sold looms, yarn, and his own weavings and tapestries. He was a member of several art and weaver’s guilds in California. Jack was an avid traveler and active member of his community. He will be remembered for his kind smile, gregarious and warm nature, and quick wit.

Jack was preceded in death by his father Frank Abrohms, mother, Ruth “Cissie” Abrohms, and brother Steven Abrohms. He is survived by his sister Eileen Lowenstein, wife Jan Soley Abrohms, daughters Megan (Richard) Myers and Alyssa (Adam) Carmasine, and grandsons Aaron and Joel Myers. He will be remembered by his nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 21st, 2020 at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, PA with option for remote attendance. Following services, Shiva will be at the home of his daughter, Alyssa.

Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
