I had a front row seat to Dad volunteer time with kindergarten and first graders at Broadmeadow. Reading to them and helping them learn to read. It brought tears to my eyes every time I could sneak in, because he gave every single one of those kids unconditional love. With every word that came out of his mouth he showed patience, warmth, understanding and of course love. He encouraged them and had a unique way of making them believe in themselves and when they were able to work through a tough spot, he let them know how proud he was of them.
Every day when he came into the school, you could tell he just couldn’t wait to get down to the room and get started.
The joy he felt when he’d stop in the office to tell me goodbye, was easy to see, it was written all over his face.
He was truly a wonderful gift to so many kids at both Broadmeadow and Northview.

Our deepest condolences to your family. We thought the world of Barry.
Barry was an extremely empathetic person. He was always there to support family in times of trials. His listening skills were wonderful and his kindness was consistent. I was around him for 72 years at various family functions, playing at each others houses, or other gatherings. He will be missed, but he left a wonderful impression on many, many people. Rest in peace dear cousin. Ron and Mary Little
