Happy Birthday, David!  Miss you terribly!  See your impact on Jacksonville every day. XOXOXOXO

Helped me start a native plant nursery. Learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed it.  His expertise was outstanding!

Dave was a visionary who believed anything and anyone was possible. He believed in me to implement his vision of developing a program that would help train the next generation of environmental leaders and thru his support and guidance, we realized his vision. I was so fortunate to have had Dave’s belief in me and I will always be grateful for him giving me that opportunity.  You are missed everyday, Dave but we were fortunate to have had you in our lives!!
Dave, Can’t believe how fast time goes, yet our memories are like yesterday! Getting ready to go to another festival trip at the Suwannee, and you are so very missed! ❤️
Took a hike in your honor today, my friend!  You always thought I suffered a bit from Natural Deficit Disorder and worked too hard.  I took today off, enjoyed the natural environment and thought about how you made this world a better place.  Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Dave!!

Forever remember you every time I wrap a cord. Every.single.time 🤣

You are so fondly remembered and missed.

Hope you’re dancing today!

Dr. Lambert was an incredible mentor who believed each of his students could achieve anything they set their mind to. He was a constant voice of guidance, encouragement and reassurance. UNF and Jacksonville have lost a great leader and he will be dearly missed.
We have reserved the Dolphin …
We have reserved the Dolphin Plaza beachfront pavilion in Hanna Park, Jacksonville on October 16th for a celebration of life. Please see the events page for more details and to RSVP.
I am so sad to that David passed. I worked with David at the Geoplan Center at UF in the late 80’s to early 90’s. He was always so friendly and we would always talk when I was there. Prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed.

It was such a privilege to know Dr. Lambert. He made a big difference in the lives of so many. And, as a resident of Atlantic Beach, he lent his time and talents to our City in myriad ways. In protecting our environment, we can only try to follow his great example.

As a new faculty at UNF, I immediately found an enthusiastic supporter in Dave Lambert. He was such a kind, welcoming person that the UNF Environmental Center (now UNF Institute of Environmental Research and Education) became a second home on campus. Dave would always indulge my big picture ideas, share in my frustrations, and offer a positive but realistic view on the road to sustainability in Northeast Florida. I'll never forget how he used to introduce me to new people at the university- "a rising star." Dave's star will continue to shine brightly given all the lives he touched and his tireless efforts to protect the environment.
