Ivory Lee Jones was born on January 10th, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Mary Jones and Ivory Harris. Ivory Jones departed his life on August 9th, 2024.

Ivory attended Greater Harvest Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Jean Baptiste DuSable High School, at which he became a member of the ROTC program. He adopted several trades throughout his life's journey; some of which included culinary arts, maintenance engineering, and even the science of cosmetology. New technology sparked his interest. He loved to disassemble electronics and create his own version. He created a universal remote long before they were out on the market. He displayed a smooth spirit and enjoyed making people laugh with his many entertaining stories . Those who knew him best would say that he had quite a way with his words.

Ivory recommitted his life to Christ before his transition. He was preceded in death by his mother , Mary Jones Crosswhite, brother, John Jones, and nephew , Jeremy Jones.

Ivory leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Shirley Jones and Patricia Jones; His children: Tony Patterson (Ramonda), Iris Jones Bess, Troy Patterson (Betty), Erika Jones, Ivy Wheeler, Tasiana Wheeler, Charmaine Battle, and Isheeka Jones; his adopted family, Jeanne, Tedd and James Fox, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
