Ivalda Devine, a retired beautician, lived in Clifton, NJ, died from health complications at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ on Friday September 16, 2022. Ivalda was the daughter of Maria and Jose Ferreira and was 96 years old. Her birthplace was in Paul do Mar, on the island of Madeira, Portugal on August 10, 1926.

Ivalda is survived by her niece Janet Ferreira, and two nephews Leo and Ray Ferreira. She is predeceased by her sister Iva and brother Leo Ferreira, as well as her parents.

Ivalda enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing a variety of card games, and making quiche. Service will be on Friday December 23 at 10 am at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church at 154 E 1st St, Clifton, NJ 07011. Ivalda will be laid to rest in a mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery at 58 McLean Blvd, Paterson, NJ 07513.
