Iva's obituary
Ms. Thompson was born March 11, 1963, in Poteau, OK, to Thomas William Thompson and Wilma (Perry) Thompson.
She attended Poteau High School and graduated in 1981. She continued her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK.
She enjoyed cooking and drawing in her spare time. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She survived by her children, Joseph Blake Johnson and Wife Lindsay Johnson of Sallisaw, OK, Jake Hoyle and Wife Jamie of Tecumseh, OK. Grandchildren, Kobe Johnson, Brett Johnson, Madilyn Johnson, Brooklyn Hoyle, Boston Hoyle and Beau Hoyle; sisters Juanita Billy and husband Charles Lafayette Billy of Poteau, OK, Shirley Lovell and husband Roger of Panama, OK, Maryland Ritter and husband Billy of Bokoshe, OK, Tammie Furguiel Thompson of McHenry, IL. Brothers; Thomas Gerald Thompson and wife Jan, and Sherman Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration Of Life Memorial will be held Friday July 24th at 1:00pm at the Double Branch Church in Poteau, OK. A luncheon for the family will begin at noon.
