Itsuko's obituary

Itsuko Tateoka, 74, of Mililani, HI, USA, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She was born on July 16, 1949, in Fukuoka, Japan to Jiro and Haruyo Narazaki.

Itsuko was a loyal, faithful, and loving wife and mother who always put her family above all else. She nurtured her loved ones both physically and spiritually, providing unwavering support and love throughout her life. She effortlessly forged deep connections with everyone she met, her warmth and kindness touching countless lives. Itsuko had a profound love for animals and cherished moments spent with them. She found joy in various activities, from the peaceful practice of yoga to the uplifting art of singing. They had a keen eye for beauty, often creating stunning floral arrangements that reflected her artistic spirit. Exploring nature with friends through hiking brought Itsuko immense happiness and solace.

Itsuko was predeceased by her loving parents Jiro and Haruyo Narazaki. Itsuko is survived by her husband, Mark Ichizo Tateoka, whom she married on February 4, 1982; beloved children Luke (Nana) and Charlotte (Ryan); sisters Mitsuyo, Tomoko and Akiko; her cherished grandsons, Beau and Lucas Cason, and Kaimana Tateoka and many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

A funeral service will be held at LDS Chapel 2930 S. 2000 E., Salt Lake City, UT on August 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM
