⦁ Though not our father by blood, Israel was, in every way that matters, our dad. He stepped into our lives with patience, strength, and an open heart, choosing to love us as his own—and never once looking back. His steady presence, quick wit, and ability to find humor even in the hardest moments made him not only our rock but also our joy.
⦁
⦁ He leaves behind his devoted children: Chris Long, Denise Gipson, Sandra Brenden, Brenda Long, and Kayla Long, all of whom were blessed to have been loved by a man as kind and good as Israel.
He is also survived by his loving brothers, Manuel, Nestor, Roman, Guillermo, Lamberto, and a sister, Ana Guadalupe, as well as Maria Isabel. He leaves behind a large extended family, including many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of Israel’s warmth, wisdom, and wonderful sense of humor.
Israel was the kind of man who could fix just about anything, tell a joke that made your sides hurt, and make you feel safe just by being in the room. His love was real. His presence was strong. And his legacy is everlasting.
Though we will miss him dearly, we will honor him by living with the same humor, strength, and compassion that he gave to us so freely.
A celebration of his life will be held [insert date/location, if known], where family and friends will gather to laugh, cry, and share the many stories of a man who made all of our live better just by being in them.
Rest peacefully, Dad. We’ll carry your love with us always.
