Israel's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Israel "Grampo" Trevizo-Uranga, who left our world on May 30, 2025. Known fondly by many as "Grampo," he always preferred to be called by his given name, Israel. He was born on December 16th, 1958 and lived a vibrant and full life.
A patriarch of many talents, Israel had a passion for Mexican cuisine and savored the depth of flavors in a good glass of whiskey. His jubilant spirit was often nurtured by the resonating lyrics of Vicente Fernández, a soundtrack of his life that represented his enduring love for music.
Family and friends felt his enthusiastic spirit whenever Denver Broncos were on the field as his loyalty to his beloved team was known far and wide. His knack for risk and reward was evident in his favorite game, Poker, where he enjoyed outwitting opponents with a playful smile.
Of all his hobbies, what Israel valued most was spending quality time with friends and sharing many laughs - his presence often described as "Grampo Loco" for his infectious enthusiasm. Perhaps the only constant companion more cherished than his friends was Oso Black, his faithful pet dog who will sorely miss his master's company.
Israel leaves behind his beloved daughter, Olivia Lucero, who will continue to carry his legacy forward. His life was a testament to his buoyant spirit and his unwavering enthusiasm for the things he cherished most will be remembered by all who knew him. Our hearts are heavy, but filled with gratitude for a life well-lived.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life, remembering the joy he brought to everyone he knew. Rest in peace, Israel "Grampo" Trevizo-Uranga, you will be dearly missed.
