Isauro's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Isauro "Izzy" Salazar who departed from this life on October 22, 2025. Most knew him as Isauro but he was Izzy to his friends and family. He was born on May 18, 1947.
Isauro's life was beautifully intertwined with his beloved wife Libby Salazar daughters Lisa and Evangeline as well as three grandchildren. He also leaves behind his six sisters and five brothers and there families as well as many nieces and nephews. he is reunited with his parents in heaven, Lawrence Salazar and Carmen Salazar, who preceded him.
A service honoring Isauro's life will be held on October 28th 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church we ask for his friends and family to celebrate his life with us.Those who had the pleasure to know Isauro would describe him as a man who loved his family more than anything else. He was strong-willed yet carried a compassionate heart.
One of the most significant lessons Isauro shared was the balance of work and play. He believed in working hard and playing hard, and he instilled this belief in his loved ones. Among his greatest accomplishments, he was exceptionally proud of raising his two beautiful daughters and three granddaughters.
Isauro leaves behind a generous legacy of always doing for others. His memory will live on in his daughters, his grandchildren, and among his extensive family, Beyond family ties Isauro touched many lives through his love for tacos, Spanish food, and his dedicated service as a city worker for Albuquerque.
His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will be cherished by many nieces, nephews, friends, and all who knew him. Rest in peace, Isauro, and know that your kindness and love have left an indelible mark on us all.
