Isaiah's obituary
Isaiah Kaleo Jiaan Fourshey was born on November 10, 1996. Isaiah is the beloved son of Misti Marie Madden and John Lloyd Fourshey, and the cherished father of Serenity, Ezekiel, Divinity, and Eternity.
Isaiah lived with a courageous spirit and a tender heart. His life was marked by his deep love for family, his unwavering bond with his siblings, and his protective nature as an older brother. He found joy in listening to classic R&B, being near the ocean, and spending precious time with his four children, who were the light of his life.
Isaiah proudly wore the title of big brother and shared a special bond with his little sister Aiyanna, affectionately known as Yanni. Their connection was as powerful as their shared Scorpio spirit—his watchful eye never strayed far from his protection over her.
Born and raised on the island of Hawaii, Isaiah took to the ocean like a natural. The water was his sanctuary, a place where he found peace and solitude. His adventurous spirit led him to daring feats like diving off the highest cliffs and mastering the waves as a gifted bodyboarder.
Isaiah’s athletic talents extended to soccer, where he was recognized as one of the best players in the state of Hawaii during his teenage years, proudly led by his Gogo. His skill and style were inspired by Ronaldinho, which allowed him the opportunity to travel to other states for competition.
Not only was Isaiah competitive on the field, but he was also passionate about cooking. He shared memorable cook-offs with his dad, proudly boasting of his culinary skills and his dream of becoming a top chef. Family barbecues by the water were some of Isaiah’s happiest times.
His academic pathway started in Montessori Country Pre-School, Connections PCS, Waiakea Intermediate & High School, and Campbell High School. He graduated with his diploma from Waipahu Community School for Adults. He constantly stimulated his mind with endless debates with TJ and others, especially about politics. Isaiah often forgot about time zones when calling his confidant, his cousin D, and the two would talk for hours. Even in sharing his struggles, he brought light with his humor, often ending with his familiar phrase, "I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid." Zay had a way of turning pain into laughter with his edgy humor. He and his grandmother, affectionately known as Bamz, share a common love for gardening. Though close in age, he and his Aunt Malia grew up more like bantering siblings who also shared a unique bond.
Isaiah met the love of his life, Natasha Soares, as a teenage sweetheart, and together they shared a decade-long relationship full of love and growth, blessed with four beautiful children. Isaiah often said, “They’re the best part of me,” reflecting the immense pride and joy he found in fatherhood. He treasured spending time with his children in the garden, playing in the yard, and enjoying days at the beach.
He was known for his incredible work ethic, spending seven strong years in the restaurant industry. Beginning as a cook, his dedication and leadership carried him forward to become a manager, earning the respect of all who worked alongside him. As a testament to his compassion and humanity, we learned a compelling story from his co-workers. During the Covid pandemic, customers were not allowed in the restaurant. A father brought in his children in hopes to use the bathroom. After one of Zay's co-workers denied their entry, he insisted on showing compassion and allowed them in volunteering to personally clean up after they left stating, "Let's show some humanity...". After his ten-hour shifts, he would often go feed the homeless before heading home to be with his family.
Isaiah’s life was full of dreams he carefully recorded in his journal—plans to marry, complete his degree, open his own restaurant, and be the best father possible. As a testament to his commitment to his dreams, education, and future, fueled and inspired by his mother’s relentless pursuit of academia by obtaining her master’s degree, he applied to and was accepted into the ASU College pilot program in December of 2024.
Though life brought unforeseen challenges, including difficult battles with mental health, he carried them with quiet strength. In the end, he lost that fight—but it does not define who he was. He was more than his struggles: a devoted father, a loving son, a loyal friend, and a soul filled with light and love.
He sought both spiritual guidance and professional counseling, showing his courage and commitment to finding healing and peace. On March 4, 2025, Isaiah found his internal peace. Though his earthly journey was far too short, Isaiah’s kindness, humor, and strength touched many lives. He will always be remembered for his radiant smile, generous heart, and resilient spirit. His memory is a lasting reminder of love’s power to carry us through even the most difficult times.
Isaiah is survived by his parents, Misti Marie Madden (TJ Madden) and John Lloyd Fourshey (Sabrina Fourshey), his beloved children, Serenity Kailani Soares-Fourshey, Ezekiel Kaikane Soares-Fourshey, Divinity Keilani Soares-Fourshey, and Eternity Kaile’a Soares-Fourshey, his sisters Aiyanna Sade Leilani Rose-Marie Fourshey and Arevia Kaimiokalani Madden, his brother Avian Ho’olahakeakua Madden, his grandparents, Cynthia Marie Walker and Jeffery David Walker, (Kaimi Jai Kinimaka King, T. Madden), and his extended family: aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, and friends. He is preceded by his paternal grandparents, Catherine Jean Estes, and Rudolph Anthony Fourshey. He now rests in the eternal embrace of God, reunited with loved ones who went before him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 10, 2025, Isaiah’s heavenly birthday, at Spencer's Beach Park. Family and friends are invited to come together in love, remembrance, and gratitude for the joy Isaiah brought into our lives. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have surrounded them with prayers, love, and support during this season of grief.
Isaiah would want us to remember the precious moments we all shared with him throughout his life. "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" - Isaiah 41:10
In honoring his life, we also recognize the vital need for stronger mental health support and resources, so that others walking a similar path may find hope and healing. If you or someone you love is struggling with mental health challenges, please know you are not alone, and resources are available.
