To the ohana, of Isaiah Kaleo Jiaan Fourshey:
I can't imagine the grief and am so sorry for your loss. You have definitely been in my thoughts and prayers for healing and provision of all that is needed. By the Goodness and Grace of our Heavenly Father and the atoning sacrifice of His Son Jesus, we have much hope for us all to be together again in His Kingdom and Glory where He will wipe away all of our tears...
Revelation 21:4
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
The Hawaiian saying, Aloha Ke Akua, means God is Love. We were created in the Image of God, and, therefore, we were created in the image of Love. If it wasn't for His Image of Love in us, we wouldn't be able to shed a tear, so when I see tears, I see Love... I see God. While going through a low point in my life, I read in the Bible...
Genesis 5:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
I realized that when we grieve, not only is He the only One Who truly understands, but our grief helps us to better understand and relate to Him in Whose Image we were made... All of life's best attributes and experiences - love, joy, peace, goodness, etc., are so much more magnified in God. His Love, Joy and Goodness is so very much greater than ours... But so is his grief.
The reflection written by your family about Isaiah is so beautiful and cited a Bible passage from the book of Isaiah - 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Later, a prophecy about Jesus in Isaiah 53:3, says, "He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief." So, during this time, may His Presence, Peace, Love, and all of the best attributes of Him be with you, comfort you, and be realized in a very special way.
