Y sóbate que no hay Bengay!

Mom, you have raised us with respect and love for all. You were the glue that keep us all together the amazing trips back to our Island that the kids will never forget, the love for the rivers and your Domino games. We will truly miss you and I with my numerous calls every day just to hear your voice.  Rest in peace my Queen.

Mom, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. You held my hand for a while, but you will always hold my heart forever.  Your love, strength, and courage will continue to be my guide. May you rest in peace.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you thoughts and prayers.
What a beautiful angel God has gained. 💔
The pillar that held everyone together — a living example of strength, love, faith, and unwavering devotion. You gave so much of yourself, and you did it with joy.

I will forever cherish the memories of your delicious limbers and perfect surullos (that I have never mastered), the way you’d beat everyone at dominoes with that proud little smile. The warmth of our family BBQs where laughter always felt louder around you. Those moments are now treasures we hold close to our hearts.

A true Borinqueña!!! Una Guerrera verdadero!!!

We love you so deeply, Grandma Isabel. The world will feel different without you here, but your legacy of love, unity, and faith will forever live within everyone whose life you have touched. May you rest in eternal peace, wrapped in God’s loving arms, where there is no more pain — only joy and the beauty of heaven. 🕊️❤️
I will forever be grateful that I got to witness parts of my great-grandmother’s beautiful life. Without her, I wouldn’t have the brave, resilient women around me that I do today. Even though I wasn’t around as much as I wish I had been, I always felt her strength and courage wherever I went. Some of my favorite memories are visiting her house, enjoying her delicious limbers, and trying to talk to her—even though I didn’t speak Spanish. Still, I always understood that everything she said to me was filled with love. You will be deeply missed, Grandma, always and forever. While we’re still here, we’ll carry your memory with us in everything we do. Nice to meet you…

It was my grandmother’s gentle love, boundless care, and quiet grace that raised me. Through her, I learned what true, unconditional love feels like. Her embrace could calm any storm within me, and her smile had a warmth that made the world feel safe.

I can still taste her sweet coconut limbers — each one a reminder of the island we cherished together during those golden Puerto Rican summers. I loved sharing a bed with her on those hot, breezy nights, the soft hum of coquí frogs outside and a mosquito net wrapped around us like a little cocoon of love.

She taught me how to gather fresh eggs from the hens and care tenderly for the family’s animals, always reminding me to treat every living thing with kindness. My love for Puerto Rico — for family, for roots, for the beauty of simple moments — is her greatest gift to me.

She truly saw me — not just as a child, but as a soul — and loved me exactly as I was, without judgment, without condition. I loved to make her laugh, to tickle her, to cover her face in kisses until she giggled like a little girl herself.

She was, and always will be, my favorite person in the whole wide world. When she left this world, a piece of my heart went with her.

Te amo mucho, Ma — forever and always. ❤️
