Isaac's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Isaac King, a beloved family figure, reliable friend, and respected veteran. Born on September 5, 1939, Mr. King departed from this life on August 26, 2023.

Isaac was known for his witty sense of humor, kindness, generosity, and he always had a story to tell. Despite the health challenges he faced, he did his best to check on others, always reminding them to "stay sweet" or "love each other".

Isaac shared many lessons with those he loved, but those that will resonate most are his teachings about the importance of caring for family. It was a creed he lived by, dedicating his life to supporting and nurturing his child and grandchildren, who he affectionately referred to as his "baby girls".

Mr. King leaves behind a legacy of family. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jourdan King Laws (Solomon) and Makayla Cambor. He was 1 of 12 siblings and is survived by his sisters, Viola Smith, Savanah Bolton, and brother Silver "James" King along with a host of nieces and nephews. Isaac was predeceased by his parents Robert and Asalee King, most of his siblings, and his son, Isaac Ellis King, whose memories he held dear to his heart.

Among his many notable achievements, Isaac proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the US Army  during the Vietnam War. His bravery and commitment to his homeland were commendable and will forever be remembered by those who knew him.

Isaac had a lot of hobbies growing up and was very handy. He built a guitar out of porch steps, transformed his closet into a black room to develop his photography prints, and enjoyed building/fixing electronics.

Isaac's loss will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the stories he shared, the love he gave, and the importance he placed on family.
