To Dr. G's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened, I grew up in the office (one of Maria's daughter's) and I learned a wealth of knowledge from Dr. G. He's the reason I went for my degree in finance and I do the work I do today. I will always remember sitting in the waiting room and the beautiful painting that hung on the wall. He got me my first Bloomberg Businessweek subscription! He made such an impact on my life and will truly be missed!

To Dr. Gertsman’s family, friends and patients.. I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Gertsman. I only just learned of this news through my brother, who has been searching for an exceptional and honest dentist. It brought back a flood of memories, particularly as I recently discarded the molds from over 25 years ago that he had given me.😞

I fondly remember how he cared for me in his office, always presenting himself with such professionalism and kindness. I loved 2 things that hanged in his office one said “Only take care of the teeth you want to keep” 😂…. And a picture frame that had a wooden boat infront of a house or something like that and I would ask him is that your boat? And he would say yes and that was his vacation home but the home in the picture looked little and distressed so I never really knew if he was joking every time I asked lol, maybe he did say ‘No’ at one point but he answered so many times ‘yes’ to

That frame that i believe it was lol 😂…❤️… that is one picture frame i would LOVE to have with me at my home as a remembrance of him and my visis to his office at the Empire State Building ✨❤️✨, I have searched online for many yr ears to have even if it’s something similar to that picture frame….❤️✨❤️✨ one other story I can’t forget was his assurance that he wouldn't send for another retainer if I lost mine made me smile bcz he got a little serious when he said it but didn’t sound mean 🥰..I always appreciated his sense of humor. I had hoped to see him again here in Miami, unaware that he had retired at the age of 72.

To my knowledge, Dr. Gertsman truly lived a blessed life, dedicating himself to helping others achieve beautiful smiles. Since he fixed my teeth, I have received countless compliments, and I often share stories of his incredible work. I owe my gratitude to my dear friend Marla Melendez, who referred me to him more than 25 years ago; I have always proudly talked about my dentist who worked at the Empire State Building.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Dr. Gertsman will be greatly missed, but his legacy of kindness and excellence will live on in the many lives he touched.

Warm regards,

Mari Angeli Lopez
